John Goodman (born June 20, 1952) is an American actor, voice actor and comedian, known for his distinctive deep Southern drawl voice. He rose to stardom co-starring in the sitcom Roseanne (1988-1997), and has enjoyed a diverse career as a character actor since the early 1980s.
